 These images have decided not to come out in order so they are a bit higgeldy piggeldy. They are from two walks I talk around Bella Bella, one in the bright sunshine of the morning and the other right at dusk the night before.




















I haven't actually made it into this shop yet. It is on my list of places to check out. There is free wifi but every time I have gone by it is closed. You can also purchase works by local artists here, some beautiful carvings and beadwork.

This raven was hilarious. I heard him far before I saw him and I had thought at first that he was some variety of turkey. The noises that he was making sounded like gobbling. Then he switched it up and started making a noise that could only be described as woogey woogey wook! Woogey woogey wook!

Kayaking, a major teacher past time.

Aya belongs to one of the teachers and she looks out for all of us. Often if you are heading out on a walk she will join you. One time she headed out to the shore with two teachers in Salmon season and was delighted to find the rotting carcasses of several salmon and proceeded to gobble down several decomposing salmon heads much to the teachers dismay. She is also a great alarm system when we hear her barking we know there is possibly wolves, bears, or cougars nearby.
