Rough Week

Bella Bella has burned, again. One of the health workers homes was in flames tonight. Everyone is accounted for and safe but it was scary because of the proximity of the burning building to other residences.

This week there were also two motor vehicle vs pedestrian accidents. A little girl was hospitalized for a broken leg and an elder was also struck by a vehicle.

In more positive news, tonight was also the grade twelve grad and they all looked lovely and amazing. They should be so proud of themselves!!

Today was also the good-bye luncheon for departing teachers (thats me!).
My bro Eddie once told me that the only time people say nice things about you is at your funeral or when you are leaving.  A lot of nice things were said...a few tears were shed...saying good-bye to friends is not my favourite. There was a lovely slide show and some very kind speeches.
