There has been one other class to meet Thumper and it came about as a surprise. My students were in the computer lab which is right across the hall from our own class when one of the Secondary teachers came and asked me if he could bring the grade eight students in to meet the bunny.
"They want to meet the bunny?"
"They begged me to ask you."
So I quietly asked one of my bunny ambassadors to go back to our room and welcome the grade eights and answer any questions they might have. My students take being a bunny ambassador very seriously, they only let three people at a time near the cage and they know that if anyone breaks the rules they are to tell an adult right away.
But the grade eights didn't make a peep as they entered the class and according to my bunny ambassador they were very respectful of the bunny's space and asked lots of good questions.
I was totally charmed.
